Following 2 years of Covid interruptions the Association was hopeful of being able to host the Zone 2 Regional Championships at Kooindah Waters over the weekend of 13 / 14 August but, unfortunately, has again had to cancel the event due to the big wet.
Our golf courses are already saturated and with only 28 days before play was scheduled to commence a quick check of the long range weather report revealed that on 19 of those 28 days there are projected rainfalls of varying intensity.
Clearly the recovery process now underway at most courses will again be interrupted and the courses will need further time to become playable. Let's all hope that we soon get a week or two of fine sunny days with some good winds (not too cold) to help dry things out so that we can all get back to playing.
