Played on Sunday 23 May, a small but quality field teed of at Gosford Golf Club on a fine, cool, Autumn morning and although the forecast predicted some showers, apart from some very fine drizzle the day remained fine and some hot scoring took place.
Played in 2 Divisions, Kooindah's pairing of Dan Pedziekewicz and Darren Wotherspoon proved too good on the day returning a gross score of 60 (11 under) to capture the prize in Division 1. Next best on 63 (8 under) were Shelly Beach players Shaun Brownlow and Brad Jones with Toukley's Luke Devlin and Brent White on 66 (5 under).
The nett winners in Division 1 were Kooinbdah's father / son combination Manuel and Justin Avendano with a nett score of 65 (6 under) closely followed by another father / son combination, Paul and Kory Botting from Everglades on 66 (5 under). Another Kooindah pairing, Warwick and Dale Lawrence took 3rd place on 72.5.
In Division 2 (handicaps ranging from 3.25 to 7), Toukley pairing of Matt Fitzgerald and Glen Miller proved too strong returning a 3 under 68 to take first prize in the gross competition. Next best on 70 (1 under) in a 3 way countback were The Springs pairing of Mal Pendrick and Mal Lindley and in 3rd place Toukley's Sean Davies and Todd Steedman also on 70.
The nett winners in Division 2 were yet another father / son combination, Gosford's Richard and Gregory Brien 70 / 65 with Greg Doherty and Rodney Sipple from Shelly Beach capturing the runner up prize on 68.5 and another Shelly Beach pairing, Wayne and Max Doherty, third on 69.75 on a countback.
