2022 Pennants

It only took 48 weeks but the 2022 Pennant season was completed on Sunday 11 December when Everglades faced Wyong B & C grade at Gosford to keep their hopes of defending the Sterland Shield alive.

Needing the maximum 6 points to retain the Shield a win in all grades by Everglades was necessary and had the B & C graders been able to secure the needed wins the A grade would have needed to play to complete the series.

At the end of the day Everglades hopes were dashed when the Wyong team took the B grade contest 2 matches to 1. Everglades reversed the result in C grade but their defence of the title was shattered and the Shield will spend 12 months at Gosford.

The final results were A grade Shelly Beach, B grade Gosford, C grade Mangrove Mt and Juniors Shelly Beach. Sterland Shield Gosford.

The Association extends congratulations to the winning Clubs and appreciation to all of the players from all of the Clubs for their continued involvement in what must be one of the longest series on record.

Clubs are now gearing up for the 2023 series which commences on 15 January 2023.
