The coveted Artie Mollett Shield has returned to the Coast following a 2 year absence after the CCDGA representative side defeated the Hunter River DGA at Everglades on Sunday 28 June.
Matches against HRDGA are always played in great fashion and are always enjoyed by the players from both sides. The last 2 years have seen very close matches and in 2014 HRDGA, as holders, retained the Shield after the 2 teams finished all square at Scone Golf Club.
Once again the matches were played in great spirit and when the last of the groups went through the 9th hole no one had set up a wide margin and it looked like the match would go down to the wire. However, no doubt with a little help by local knowledge, the Coasties proved too strong over the closing holes and took the title 10 matches to 2. Full details of the results can be viewed on the Representatives page.
