The 2017 Pennant series is drawing to a close with the finals scheduled for the weekend of 1/2 April.
Attention is now turning towards the representative season which will commence on 30 April when CCDGA will host Hunter River DGA at Gosford.
In past years selection has been based primarily on individual results in the Pennant series and performance in the various Open events however with the introduction of the Order of Merit this year the selectors now have another tool at their disposal when selecting players. Performance in Open events has become more critical.
The first of the years Open tournaments is the Magenta Shores Open on 9 April followed by the Toukley Cup on 17 April and the Mangrove Mt Open on 13 May. Entry forms for all three tournaments are available on the entry form tab. Not only do these events form part of the Order of Merit but also the Vardon trophy.
These events are not limited to those with representative aspirations and all golfers are encouraged to play in as many of the Opens as they can.
