The final round of Grade 1 and Grade 2 Pennants was held on 4 June at Magenta Shores and Everglades. The heavy rain and miserable conditions on the weekend cleared to a near perfect winters day. Grade 3 played their final round on 28 May.
Grade 1
The final round of Grade 1 pennants was set for an exciting finish with 5 clubs within 2 points of the lead. In the end the deciding match was between Everglades and Morisset who had been in first and second place separated by only 1 point. It wasn’t until the last game was completed that the 2012 winner was decided. Morisset and Everglades with 3 games each squared their match making Morisset the overall winner by 1 point. Morisset ended up on 10 points followed by Everglades, Gosford, Magenta and Shelly Beach on 9 points. Congratulations to Morisset on their win which is their first ever in Grade 1.
Grade 2
Heading into the final round Morisset were in an unbeatable position leading by 4 points. Winning the last round against Terrigal they finished on 16 points 6 points clear of Everglades and Magenta both on 10 points.
Grade 3
This grade was also a very close competition and it wasn’t until the final round was played the winner was determined. Shelly Beach was the eventual winner finishing on 11 points, closely followed by Everglades on 10 and Magenta and Morisset on 9 points.
Congratulations to the winning clubs who will be presented with their prizes at the CCWGA Pennant Presentation which will be held on Monday 9 July at Wyong Golf Club.
