The Annual General Meeting for the CCWGA was held on Monday 12th October at Breakers. The meeting was well attended by the Club Reps and Delegates as well as the District Committee. Thank you to Breakers for hosting the meeting during this time where special Covid Safe conditions and practices were implemented.
The meeting began with a Special Resolution being passed unanimously to adopt the new revised CCWGA Constitution. The new Constitution is based on the template provided by Golf NSW and is more in tune with our current practices. In addition the District Counsellors were inducted as Life Members.
The ordinary business of the AGM followed, which included reports from President Pam, Captain Yvonne and Treasurer Gay as well as each of the District Club Reps who spoke on their Club events and happenings.
The District Charity was endorsed for 2021 as Lifeline Direct and will be co-hosted by Magenta and Breakers.
The Inter District Event CCWGA v Newcastle District is planned for Sunday 25th October at Belmont Golf Club. The format will include Foursomes and Match Play. We wish all players the best of luck.
The Annual Tournament this year will be undertaken by each Club hosting an Event at their Club in November with Prizes donated by CCWGA. The Club Reps outlined what they had planned and most clubs have opted for a Team Event - 'Split 6s', 'countdown Ambrose' and 'Jokers Team of 4' to name a few, so looks like some creative fun ideas from around the clubs. Thank you to all of the Clubs for hosting this day and we wish you success for your event.
The final event for CCWGA this year will be a meeting on Monday 23rd November for the District Committee and Club Reps to round off 2020 and plan ahead for 2021.
