The final of the 2016 Junior Pennant between Everglades and Toukley was played at Shelly Beach on Saturday 2 April under clear skies and with a gentle breeze. In short, perfect conditions.

In what proved to be a particularly close contest with only one match finishing before the 17th hole Everglades were in a handy position needing to capture only one of the two matches that went extra holes to secure the Pennant. In the end it all came down to putts on the 19th hole and Everglades player Jonathon Fullwood rolled his in to win his match.

Played in an friendly but competitive manner the standard of play was excellent and if these kids are the members of tomorrow then golf on the Coast is in secure young hands.
