Wyong drew first blood in the first of this years CCDGA Pennants to be decided by capturing both the "B" and "C" grade titles against Toukley on Sunday 24 March at Everglades.
Close tight matches were the order of the day and with 2 of the "C" grade matches forced into extra holes it appeared that both clubs might take a Pennant each but the Wyong players had other ideas and captured the 3rd and decisive match on the 21st hole.
The "A" grade and Junior finals will both be played on Saturday 6 April, the Juniors at Wyong and the "A" grade at Magenta Shores. In the Juniors Toukley will take on the strong Shelly Beach squad with both of these clubs finishing level after the preliminary rounds. Nothing but a close encounter can be anticipated.
In the "A" final Toukley and Wyong will again vie for the flag and it is any ones guess as to how this fantastic match up will finish. Both squads will have plenty of support from their club mates and anyone wanting to see some top level golf played on a truly championship golf course should make their way to Magenta Sores on Saturday 6 April.
