Pennants

Yippee, the 2023 Pennant season is over without any interruption due to Covid, rain or anything else. The previous couple of years saw what is normally a nine week season stretch to 11 months finishing just in time for the following season to commence and causing problems in securing tee time at short notice. A big thanks to all of the Clubs for their patience and co-operation in 2021 / 22 enabling us to finish the longest season ever.

The 2023 season has been particularly close with only "C" grade able to be declared without reverting to a countback based on individual match wins over the season. A countback was also needed to determine the winner of the Sterland Shield, presented to the Champion Club of the year based on wins in all 3 grades.

Following the necessary countbacks the District Captain, Steve Fallon, announced the winners as "A" grade - Toukley, "B" grade - Gosford (for the 3rd year in a row) and "C" grade - Wyong.

The Junior Pennant was won by Kooindah Waters after they defeated Toukley in the final round, both clubs progressing to that stage undefeated.

Congratulations to all of the winners and appreciation to all who played and made the season so successful.
