It is with great sadness that we advise that Peter Churcher, who served Gosford Golf Club for many years as Professional, passed away on Thursday 19 May 2016.

Peter was renown on the Coast as a teacher and golfers from all over the Coast flocked to Gosford for his guidance. Probably the best known of these players were Bill Dunk and local girl, Marea Parsons (nee Hickey) who represented Australia on many occasions. Larry Canning, Scott Cubis, Mark Sullivan and Peter's son Mark, all now Professional golfers came under Peter's watchful eye and no doubt owe a great deal of their success to his mentoring.
