Played at Toukley on Sunday 26 August in conjunction with the Toukley Mixed Foursomes Championship, a field of 45 pairs in the District event took to the course under greyish skies and the threat of showers.
For the first time a Champion of Champions was incorporated in the event and at the end of the day Shelly Beach reigning champions, Kim Burke and Scott Armstrong, took the inaugural title from Toukley's Champions Yvonne Boardman and David Willett by a margin of 2.
Kim and Scott also took the 2018 title with Mum and Son, Jeanette and Andrew Arkins, taking the runner up prize from Yvonne and David on a countback.
The net event was won by Toukley's Narelle Tracey and Keegan Phillips, the runners up, Donna Andrews and Allan Andrews, also surviving a countback with Jill Mace and Brian Kopu.
The Association extends to all congratulations for some good golf and some good stories and to Toukley Golf Club and all who played for their continued support of this long standing event.
