Due to the disruption caused by the Covid19 virus many of our scheduled events for 2020 have not been played.
A decision was taken earlier in the year, in conjunction with Hunter River DGA, Lower North Coast DGA and Newcastle DGA to abandon all inter district competition for the year. The GNSW Country Championship is scheduled to be played at Bathurst in November and at this point in time is still "on the list". CCDGA will make a decision whether to enter a team in this event nearer to the date and in light of conditions and Government imposed restrictions at that time.
The easing of restrictions has caused CCDGA to examine the possibility of rescheduling events that have not been played or are scheduled to be played in the coming months. The Association has made arrangements to complete the Junior Pennant series and is discussing with the Clubs arrangements to complete the Senior Pennant series late 2020 early 2021 when the introduction of daylight saving takes some pressure of available tee time. Details of these arrangements are available on the Pennant Draw tab.
The Association is mindful that currently tee time is limited and that Clubs are also looking to reschedule their own domestic events and accordingly has regretfully, determined to abandon all scheduled CCDGA events, except for the Singles Championship and the Schools Championship, for 2020. These latter events are scheduled for November and December and a decision on whether play of these events is possible will be taken in light of circumstance nearer to the date.
