Earlier this year CCDGA were invited, and accepted the invitation, to replace Golf NSW in an annual event involving ACT Monaro DGA, Illawarra DGA and Newcastle DGA.

Played over a 3 year cycle, this year CCDGA hosted Illawarra DGA at Kooindah Waters over the weekend of 2/3 July.

On Saturday CCDGA took the Foursomes component of the event 3/2 and were hopeful that the home advantage would give us the edge over Illawarra in the singles on Sunday morning. A chilly (probably freezing is a more apt description) morning awaited and the Illawarra lads came out all guns blazing to take an early lead which they maintained throughout the day to take the singles 8/2 and the overall event 10 matches to 5.
