After months of club qualifying the CCDGA finalists for the NSW Men's 4BBB Championship have been decided.
The local "final" was played at Kooindah Waters Golf Club on Sunday 4 August with three pairs from each Club entitled to play off for a spot in the State final to be played at Bonville Golf Club later in the year.
The weather gods could not have been kinder and a great day was presented for the final. Competition for the one spot available was keen and at the end of the day the Morisett pairing of Mark Fitzgerald and Jim Pateman proved too strong and booked their ticket to Bonville with a score of 47 points.
Terrigal's Garry Healy and Greg Fox placed second with 45 points with Garry Brown and Bruce Jamieson from Toukley one point further back in third place. If by chance Mark and Jim are not able to play at Bonville then Garry and Greg will be given the opportunity to fill the vacancy.
I am sure that all Central Coast golfers wish Mark and Jim a successful tournament and it would be great to see the title come to the Coast for the first time.
